change in weight (6/1/21 – 6/7/21): -0.6 LBS
This weather is gross. I am not built for humidity and the 90s. I get very cranky when hot and my favorite weather involves cold breezes. Oh well. It is here to stay so I might as well make the best of it. This past week I continued to eat like a moron, but I was better. I continued to struggle with stress from work and fatigue. I continued to recognize that those trigger me to eat poorly and I has some minor improvements on how I responded. Things should be looking up this week with my work schedule so I have high hopes!
My 10k training is in swing now. I am using the same app I did for the 5k so I am back into run/walk intervals. It feels good to have the intentional timing of the intervals because sometimes I get bored if I go out and try to run with no plan or anything prompting in my ear.
I do not expect to churn these miles quickly. I am okay with slowly and steadily increasing my distance. It took me a lot of time and patience to get to the point where I could run a 5k, I should expect nothing less for a 10k. The thing to remember is I am doing it. I am putting in the effort and I am trying. The old me would never have even thought about such a thing.
Anyway. Not much to report this week but I am forging along. Stay tuned!
